Wild Caught

Music and Local Seafood Festival on the Straits!

June 29-30, 2012

What? Where?

Wild Caught is a festival celebrating homegrown music and local seafood! It's located in Gloucester, NC on the beautiful Straits looking toward Brown's Island and Harkers Island. It starts Friday night with an acoustic jam and food prep, and Saturday afternoon with music and a late afternoon seafood dinner. Music on the stage will go from early afternoon until 11pm. Wild Caught is located on Lida and David Burney's property, and there is ample room for simple camping. There's a boat ramp for kayaking, and a bathroom/shower is on site. This is the 1st Annual - we are trying this out, so it's FREE - donations gratefully accepted. Bring what you want to drink, and bring what makes you comfortable, such as chairs!

Why?

There's no place on earth quite like Down East, and Wild Caught celebrates the beauty, bounty, and heritage of where we live. The seafood is straight from the Straits, veggies from the garden, and the view is stunning, from livestock roaming the shores of Brown's Island to the light of Cape Lookout sweeping the treetops every evening. The music is homegrown and multi-generational.
