The Skinny on Wild Caught Performers

Don't miss Beaufort-based COMMON INTEREST Friday night, led by Delancy Loftus. Their blues and rock power trio will have you howling at the moon with their interpretation of favorites and originals! Recording artist Marsha Harris will kick off Wild Caught on Saturday morning with a Native Amercian flute blessing. LOST GIRLS (Margie Misenheimer, Karen Koenig, Barbara Blake, Tom Parker) band finds their way back to Wild Caught from points east and west, singing sister harmonies, originals, and foot-stomping old time tunes.

ACOUSTIC BUS is the folk derivative of Eastern NC's own Purple Schoolbus, featuring Kevin Sledge and Micah Peedin!

rocking folk! YONDER (Billy Willis, David O'Brien, LaNelle Davis) is a group of native Tarheel virtuosos combining forces to rock the best of Americana, including country, pop, and bluegrass tunes!

The bold and brassy due HISSYFit is dishing out the musical chops with a side of sass like mustard on a chili dog! CHUPACABRA (de la Rosa), (Ben Hogwood, Todd Humphreys, and Willis Best) offers cactus-sharp space rock with a dash of drime!
UNKNOWN TONGUES (left), Wild Caught's host band, serves up their usual feast of spicy Cajun, Zydeco, and originals with Bryan Blake on accordion, fiddle, and pedal steel, Barbara Blake on guitar and rubboard, Todd Humphreys on bass, and Tom Parker keeping frisky on the drums.

Kudubai (Right, featuring Jackie Burdick, Scott Ensign, Scott Kucera, Jim Morley, Ben Peierls, and Kyle Shertzer) plays original tunes, as well as nerdified covers of contemporary and classic rock. Instrumentation includes mandolin, trumpet, sax, clarinet, recorder, and a crazy variety of percussion and drums. It doesn't get any more local or classic than Gary Dudley and the Maxxtones!. Beaufort native Gary Dudley, from a long line of menhaden captains, shredded guitar for nationally-touring bands Legacy and Eclipse. They'll be our grand finale, starting at 9:30, playing the greatest rock n roll songs known to humankind (e.g. Tom Petty!) in their own style.
